Landon Durst
Born in Peoria, Landon began writing songs in his early teens after being inspired by artists like Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, and Gordon Lightfoot. He was specifically fascinated by how these artists could alter ones moods and emotions.
By his mid-teens, he had taught himself guitar and started crafting his own music. His variety of influences helped contribute to his unique style which blended elements of folk, country, and acoustic rock.
In 2007, Landon was awared best songwriter for his song “Runaway Lights” while participating in the Paramount Songwriting Contest. Landon would recieve the same award in 2011, producing the hit song “Keep on Walkin’”.
With three albums’ worth of songs written and recorded, Landon continues to perform both his originals and covers.
