MICHAEL HELGESON

Michael Helgeson performs solo as Michael Acoustic Live, bringing acoustic rock and pop covers from the 1960s to today.

A Central Illinois musician with roughly 40 years of experience, he started out as a drummer before picking up bass and then guitar. These days he fronts a weekly praise-and-worship band at church and plays regular solo shows around the Peoria area.

His set lists lean on artists like James Taylor, the Beatles, and other classic singer-songwriters, plus familiar rock and pop favorites that fit an easygoing, acoustic format. You’ll find him on patios, tasting rooms, and community events—from Molly’s Pizzeria, Kuchie’s on the Water, Bust’d Brewing, and Sankoty Lakes to parks, beer gardens, and local festivals across Central Illinois.
