VANITY SLEEPS

Vanity Sleeps is the solo project of Peoria, Illinois–based singer-songwriter Daniel Sutter. Working under the Vanity Sleeps name, he focuses on original material that sits between folk and rock—melodic, lyric-forward songs with a slightly dark, atmospheric edge.

In 2023 he released the Trail of Tears EP, featuring tracks like “Civil War,” “Ghost,” “Alabaster Jar,” and the title song, followed by the 2024 single “Just a Star” on Ghost Man on Third Records. In 2025 he returned with “I Still Believe,” premiered in a live TV performance ahead of a local showcase.

Live, Sutter brings these songs to small stages around Central Illinois—rooms like The Neon Bison, songwriter rounds at Tres Rojas Winery, listening-room sets, and festival slots including the Acoustic Stage at the 2nd Annual Peoria Music Live Takeover and Blue Ridge Community Farm’s 2025 concert event.
