Weekend Live Music List for August 22nd, 23rd, & 24th

August 22, 2025 Kindall Reuschel (Nelson)

The heat kept most off the dance floor at Pour Bros for Tambora - but the courtyard was still full of people!

We saw a lot of bands last weekend, but we’re just focusing on three for this post! It was one of the hottest Saturday nights I can remember (still over 90 degrees when we headed to our first stop at 7:45)

Tambora made a LOT of new fans at the Pour Bros Craft Taproom Courtyard Concert Series. The heat was the only reason the dance floor wasn’t packed! After their show we headed over to the Twelve Bar to see ZA Funk, now fronted by with their new lead singer, Gillian Greer. the incredible Gillian Greer. If you haven’t caught them since she stepped in, check their calendar and get to a show soon… you’ll be blown away. Our last stop of the night was Friendly Valley Tavern to see Henhouse Prowlers where even the heat couldn’t keep people from dancing.

We’ll talk about the others we saw - Umphrey’s McGee, White Taco & the Pile Drivers, and BraziLionaires next week! But for now, check out the photos and videos of Tambora, ZA Funk, and Henhouse Prowlers while you’re making your to-do list for this weekend!

There are more good things on the way, but I don’t add it to the total until it’s recieved. :-)
To learn more about this goal, you can click here to check out this blog post from May!

Here is the update on that $40,000 goal - After nearly 3 months, we are at $21,087.19! Being over halfway there at this point gives me some hope that we can reach this goal by the end of the year. To make it sustainable - we’re definitely going to need some help!

While there are several ways to support us listed in the link under the thermometer picture here, there are two things I’d love to focus on right now…

  • Facebook Subscriptions - At $1/mo it is the most effective way for a little to go very far!

  • PML Takeover Support - Go ahead and get the 2025 PML Takeover at the 3300 Event Center on your calendar for October 19th!
If you are interested in being a vendor or a sponsor, please reach out to press@peoriamusiclive.com and I will get you the information you need ASAP!

As you read through your options of where to go for live local music here, you may have a brief moment where you think maybe you’ll just stay in this weekend. Just remember:

You can download a video, but you can’t download a live music experience

appreciate what we do?
