Garage Band Open Stage

Every Tuesday throughout the summer we set out all of our donated instruments and have a local band host an open stage in our garage. The band performs a few songs and then starts calling up people who have signed up to play. They can play with the band, play on their own, build a band from those who are there to sign up… the possibilities are endless.
We also encourage spectators to pick up the instruments and get familiar with them, even if they don’t want to play that day or have no experience at all. How are you going to know what you want to invest time and energy in learning if you don’t have access and exposure to all the instruments?

we look forward to year 6 in the summer of 2027!

Musical Petting Zoo

We love to bring our instruments to community events and give those in attendance a chance to familiarize themselves with a wide array of instruments while also giving them information about our programs. If you are hosting a community event, reach out on our Contact Us page and we’ll see what we can do!

Various classes and workshops

See the “EVENTS” tab on our Facebook Page for upcoming classes and workshops. Many of them have scholarships & grants available for people under 21.

We can also create classes or workshops for your students. They can take part in them at our building, or we can design something that works for you, and bring it to you one time or on a regular basis. Example: Your day care

interested in teaching a class or workshop?

At Harmonize Peoria, we have limited staff an resources, but when someone really has it in their heart to do something, we know there are ways to make it happen. So, we encourage anyone who has a class or workshop or event that they’d like to have at the Harmonize Peoria headquarters to reach out via email or our Contact Us form and tell us about your idea. From there we can help you decide how to structure and charge/pay for the project. Some example options we have depending on the details:

  • It becomes a Harmonize Peoria project that we fund completely.

  • It becomes a project Harmonize Peoria helps create/run.

  • It stays 100% your project, but you rent/utilize our space for it.

We believe in working together with others for the good of the community.
