Weekend Live Music List for May 29th, 30th, & 31st

May 29, 2026 Kindall Reuschel (Nelson)

These veterans of the Peoria music scene, Robin Crowe, Tony Crowe, Dave Chastain, and Jimmy Willis, put on a great show full of stories and songs at the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Memoria Day Weekend was full of live music… here’s who we saw on Friday!

TWO IMPORTANT UPCOMING EVENTS NEXT WEEK!

Tuesday, June 2nd is the first week of Garage Band Open Stage. We’d love to see you there!

Our first stop last Friday was the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, where I had the privilege of catching a sold-out performance by some true veterans of the Peoria music scene; Robin Crowe, Tony Crowe, Dave Chastain, and Jimmy Willis. Their set was a beautiful blend of stories and songs, the kind of show that feels like a conversation as much as a concert.

If you want to support the arts in Peoria, THIS is is a great way to do it. The success of this program is measured in the number of people who attend these free events… plan to go check out a gallery and hear some live music on Friday, June 5th!

From there, we made our way to Friendly Valley Tavern for Armchair Boogie and Andy Frasco in what may have been the most packed night yet in Peoria's largest beer garden. The crowd was electric, but as we’ve come to expect, the Valley delivered that signature warmth. It was wall-to-wall (fence-to-fence?) people who were just genuinely happy to be there and wanted everyone around them to feel the same. Pure Summer Camp energy.

There are over 60 performances listed here for this weekend, so it’s time to start planning which ones you plan to get out and enjoy.
While you’re at it, scroll through the photos and videos from last Friday! (And maybe check out what we’ve uploaded to YouTube lately when you have a moment.)

There's no shortage of reasons to get out there!
