Last Sunday’s Acoustic Originals Showdown was a true celebration of local talent, bringing together singer-songwriters of all ages, genres, and styles to share their music with an enthusiastic crowd. One of the coolest parts was introducing new fans to the musicians who were there!
Beyond the music, the event highlighted the power of collaboration. By working hand-in-hand, Go Day and Big Picture Peoria showed what’s possible when organizations unite around a common mission. Their teamwork not only created an incredible experience spanning two blocks of the Peoria Riverfront, but also sparked a strong sense of community pride and support.
This event was a shining example of looking at the “big picture,” bringing together so many different people and organizations, and proving that when we work together, great things happen. I’m already looking forward to seeing it grow even more next year.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the photos and videos from the Showdown, both here in this post and on our YouTube channel. There are a few photos from the HP Musical Petting Zoo that was at the festival as well!
Thanks again to the following for helping make it happen: Roxy Baker, Jerry Kolb, Simmantel, Our House Entertainment, Big Picture Peoria, and Go Day!
INDOOR AND OUTDOOR VENDOR SPACES STILL AVAILABLE!
If you haven’t signed up for notifications through these PML Facebook Messenger channels:
now would be a great time to do that! This isn’t a “group chat” - these are one way messages from PML letting you know about something you might think is important! For example, we’ll be making an announcement soon about ramping up ticket giveaways… and those who are part of the Giveaways and Promos channel will be the first to know the details!
