This weekend, I tagged along with Kindall to Emo Night at the 3300 Event Center. We slipped in just in time to catch the last few minutes of Ava Easter’s set, her voice carrying through the room with the kind of raw edge that makes you wish you’d arrived a little earlier.
Not long after, All American Throwbacks took the stage and immediately filled the space with a flood of early-2000s emo and pop-punk nostalgia. The kind of songs that make you forget how many years it’s been since you first blasted them in your car. Kindall was darting around, camera in hand, snapping photos from every angle, while I found a spot to take it all in. The music, the crowd, and the energy that felt both familiar and brand new at the same time.
There’s never a shortage of incredible live music happening around Peoria. Whether it’s a high-energy night at the 3300 Event Center or a soulful set in a neighborhood bar, there’s always something worth showing up for.
